Environmental Policy

GRI AI is committed to reducing the impacts of our actions on the environment. We actively utilise AI to plan and make responsible use of resources to lessen our carbon emissions. 

Our actions consist of;

• utilising resources of the cloud providers with zero carbon emission.

• responsibly choose our AI models, run fewer iterations and work with smaller datasets to reduce the power consumption. 

• using the correct tools for the data pipeline by evaluating the veracity (in accordance with data policy), velocity, volume and variety of the data sources. 

• discovering and acquiring domain knowledge from domain experts and using statistical methods to reduce dimensions and vector space.  

• using transfer learning where it is applicable.

• monitoring models against degradation of the model performance and re-train where it is inevitable. 

We will also strive to improve our environmental performance over time to initiate additional projects and activities that will further reduce our impacts on the environment.

• Train all of our staff on our environmental program and empower them to contribute and participate;

• Communicate our environmental commitment and efforts to our customers, staff, and our community, and continually improve over time by striving to measure our environmental impacts and by setting goals to reduce these impacts each year.
